OK, you might have guessed I am using pseudonyms for everyone I am talking about (cause I really wouldn’t give my kids rhyming names) so here is who is who:

DH – that would be my husband. DH stands for Dear Husband. Some days it stands for something else…….. I will let you know when it is in the negative form. He is currently studying IT after working in radio for 20 years. In 2004 he had a major breakdown and hasn’t worked since. This year he has started his IT course and hopefully will get a job in the near future.

Moo – My first born daughter . She was born in 1991 and was 15 when I started this blog. Extremely intelligent – yeah all mums say that, but I have the piece of paper to prove it! She is in an accelerated program at high school (where they skip yr7 and then are accelerated through the rest of the years). Stunningly beautiful, caring sister but regularly overdoses on Bitchflakes.

Too – My second born daughter. She was born in 1993 and was 13 when I started this blog. Everything said about her sister applies here but Too is also a huge tomboy 🙂

Boo – My son also known as Dude, Dudey McDudey, and the Tiny Terrorist. Born in 1998, 8 when I started this blog. Diagnosed with Classic/Moderate to severe Autism in 2002. Also has Hyperlexia, Sensory Intergration Disorder, low tone, food and chemical sensitivities, coeliac disease, Alpha Thalassaemia and a few other things that escape me at the moment. Gorgeous, wonderful, amazing boy that charms everyone he meets. A whiz on the computer, loves to draw cartoons, currently baffling his teachers trying to find him words that he can’t spell (finished high school spelling last year in Grade 1!) Extremely high IQ – meaningless really, the test was things that he loves to do – which means that we can’t get help or services for him which is frustrating.

Me – 35, work part time for the govt, run a huge Autism support group (over 200 members), on the steering committee for A4, a national Autism/Aspergers Advocacy group, chief cook and bottle washer and resident slave at home (working on that, I promise!) and coffee and shoe addict.

My friends I talk about the most:

A – wonderful gorgeous woman who I chat to on the phone at least a couple of days a week (doing much better than our marathon couple of hours every day!) Lives just on 1.5 hours away so we don’t see each other often. Mum of 2 boys with Aspergers and my inspiration as she is running a home, studying full time and on numerous committees for Autism/Aspergers.

H – friend around the corner and my partner in crime. Therapeutic bitch sessions a couple of nights a week 🙂 She helps me run the support group and has 3 boys, the youngest dx with Autism and his dx got me thinking about Boo.

E – my best friend from high school. Don’t see each other much these days, but catch up every now and then.

Hi I just found your blog through Gina’s. I will check in again. I read your 100 things. V. impressed that you finished it. I have my 100th post coming up, but don’t think I’ll be able to do the same…or I’ll have to start planning soon.

    Will definitely be back! Heidi
